Shout About Art

Impressions, ©J. Gracey Stinson

What?

The Artisan’s Shout came about from a need (and desire) to promote the artwork and people who work in the creative field.

This isn’t going to be a one-man campaign: to make this blog successful enough to help these artists, it’s going to take all of us. I can’t do it alone.

Please join me by sharing this blog, by linking to this blog, by commenting on something you see here that you like.

(just in case you are wondering…no, I don’t make anything from this blog – as you can see, no google ads here, no other ads either)

Why?

Because there are some seriously talented people in the world who spend a lot of themselves creating some amazing work, and unfortunately, are not often recognized as true artists.

I want to show the world some stuff they might not otherwise see, and to stand up and shout “WE ARE ARTISTS!”

HOW?

Simple, by spreading the word across the net we can reach around the globe with some wonderful stuff. You can help by linking to this blog, or creating your own and start sharing the work you come across that you like; that you think is awesome; that you think others should see; that provoke emotion, whether it’s controversy or whether it’s the warm fuzzies.

You can write comments, you can visit their galleries, you can buy their work, or just admire it, you can send them a note, you can “digg” them, bookmark them, squidoo them, but most of all you can shout about them anywhere you can.

If you don’t blog, don’t have a website, don’t belong to any networking sites then just share a link to this blog with your friends and family, and in forums you frequent.

(PLEASE: don’t spam – we don’t condone that anywhere!)

Contribute:

Have you run across a great artist you think deserves to be here? Cool – leave me a comment and I’ll have a look.

As the blog grows, the hope is that it will become a doorway to the world, for everyone.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful blog Gracey! This is definitely a site worth recommending, and I know many talented artists of various mediums (especially illustration, painting, sculpting, and the like) who will be receiving your URL very soon. I wish you great success (not that you need any wishing). ;-)

ShirleyHirst pointed this out to me. We had been talking about a blog and I had just started setting up tuftedduck.wordpress.com. Struggling to find my way around but if I can help, I will. Found setting up my own site easier.

Great idea – wish you every success.

Just thought I would stop by and say hello. I just read Jan Timmons above. Gracey I would like to link to your site too, but I don’t know how, would you tell me.

I’m glad I had the link to additional comments on–when I received Norval Arbogast’s comment, I realized that a) I hadn’t added you to my blog list (I just rectified that), and b) I had moved my own blog. Thanks, Norval.
(Can these dates possibly be correct, however?)

Brilliant website – clear and concise :) I’ve just joined Red Bubble, and am working to maintain my website and blog; it’s in it’s infancy, but I hope to fill it with a mix of theoretical musings, practical advice and general stories of mishap/success whilst I build my artistic career.

I’ll be back to look more round here.
