Russell Fry – The Photographer’s Eye

June 17, 2008 · 4 Comments

Russ has a portfolio that reflects his varied interests – photography, a little photoshopping, some fun tees, and even a little a writing. An eagerness to continually improve has served him well, and the superb results can be seen in his recent gallery. This is one fellow you’ve got to keep your eye on since he tends to refurbish and renovate his gallery to show only his best stuff.

His pleasant sense of humour is often reflected in his line of tee-shirts, as well as his ’soft spot’ for wildlife.

A couple of my old favourites from Russ’ gallery include a montage with an american flag and a colourful doorway:

In the artist’s own words:

I am retired and now seem to have less time than I did when working full time. The days just fly by, probably because I now work a lot on improving my limited photography and Photoshop skills. My wife has also started working on some images and you can see Lynn’s work here. and my son has his own portfolio here.

Russ, We checked out the photos you posted. Connie called me look at one picture and I recognized it immediately as the bridges across the Susquehanna. The other photos were terrific. Continue the good work. Bob

Russ, Checking your photos reminds me why I’m hoping to move back to the area when I retire. Left a lot behind when I moved to the “Big City” years ago! Looking forward to crossing the river, many times, in the future. Keep posting…as I look forward to viewing your fantastic work in the days to come.

Love the pictures. Makes me homesick. Wish I was sitting on the Susquehanna River fishing for bass and channel cats.
